This timeline hopes to provide a historically-deep summary of the health system in Myanmar, which was shaped by five distinct periods of political regimes. Before 1993, the health system was largely funded by the government, but, after, the health system comprised a public and private amalgamation. The health system has largely struggled from a lack of funding, quality, and access.
